Protecting Lives and Property

Welcome to the Edithvale Fire Brigade

Founded in 1921 and officially registered in 1925, the Edithvale Fire Brigade has been a vital part of the Edithvale, Aspendale, Aspendale Gardens, and surrounding communities for nearly 100 years.

As part of the Country Fire Authority (CFA) within District 8 and the South East Group, our brigade consists of over 110 dedicated volunteers. Each member contributes their time and expertise to deliver a modern, highly trained fire and emergency service at both local and state levels.

Operating from our state-of-the-art Community Fire Station at 206 Station Street, Edithvale, the brigade responds to approximately 300 calls for assistance each year. These include structural, grass, and scrub fires, hazardous material incidents, rescues, and Emergency Medical Response (EMR) events.

With a strong emphasis on building community partnerships, volunteer recruitment, and training, our brigade continues to grow and hold a significant place in the community we proudly serve.
